My name is Xavier Raychell Blancharde, and I’m a travelling Brit who has grown up on the move. I’m currently resident in Damascus, Syria, running group tours from here. Born in Bristol, I’ve also lived in England, Holland, Oman and Lebanon.
My time in the Middle East taught me how to speak Arabic, and the region has certainly become a great interest of mine. I can also speak a little Persian, Russian, Dutch, German and Polish. I met my Syrian girlfriend in 2019, and we’ve since started running group tours to Syria together.
