This is one of our most exciting Syria tours, especially for those that are interested in visiting places “off-the-beaten-track”. Well, some might consider that to be the case for all of Syria, but the places on this itinerary are more quirky than regular Syria tours.

On this trip, we’ll go to the Golan Heights and overlook the Israeli-occupied city of Majdal Shams. We’ll also visit the October War Panorama in Damascus – a phenomenal museum built by North Korea with a large hall in tribute to the good relations between the two countries. Furthermore, we will visit the Shrine of Ibn Arabi in Damascus, one of the most well renowned Sufi scholars.

Itinerary

Day 1 - BEIRUT TO DAMASCUS

Today, you'll meet the tour leader amd tour members, and we'll have a pre-tour meeting about the do's and dont's in Syria. Then, we'll head to Damascus, where we'll have a tour of the old city and show you many unknown gems that not many people visit. Overnight in boutique hotel in the old city.
Day 2 - SAYDNAYA, MAALOULA & KRAK DES CHEVALIERS
SAYDNAYA, MAALOULA & KRAK DES CHEVALIERS
We'll leave Damascus and head north, visiting the Christian towns of Saydnaya and Maaloula, where locals still speak the language of Jesus. Then, we'll drive to the ancient crusader castle of Krak Des Chevaliers before heading to a nearby hotel, or local homestay.
Day 3 - HAMA, APAMEA & ALEPPO

We'll head north to visit the ancient waterwheels of Hama and try its delicious sweets. Then, we'll travel to the countryside to see the ancient ruins of Apamea. Finally, we will drive to Aleppo, where we will visit the old market, citadel and more.
Day 4 - ALEPPO, MAR MUSA MONASTERY

In the morning, we'll visit some important Aleppo sites that we couldn't manage the day before, such as Baron Hotel. Then, we'll return south to visit the Mar Mousa Monastery, where we will spend the night.
Day 5 - DAMASCUS

We'll go back to Damascus and see parts of the city most tourists don't see. We'll see the city from above at Maqam Al Arbaeen, the North Korean built October War Panorama and other hidden spots in the city, outside the old quarter.
Day 6 - GOLAN HEIGHTS & BEIT JIN

Today will be a highlight, somewhere few tourists visit! We'll drive to Quneitra, the ruined capital of the Golan Heights, and we'll be able to see the Israeli-occupied town of Majdal Shams on the other side. On the way back to Damascus, we'll drop by Beit Jinn, an area of natural beauty and waterfalls.
Day 7 - DAMASCUS TO BEIRUT
DAMASCUS TO BEIRUT
Today, we will have the morning in Damascus, giving you time to buy some souvenirs before returning to Beirut at around 2PM. Upon arrival in Beirut, the tour is over.

FAQ

Do I need a visa for Syria?
We will arrange something called "Security Clearance" which will allow all of our group members to get the Syrian visa on arrival at the border.
Do I need a visa for Lebanon?
That depends on your nationality. Most European, Arab, and Latin American nationalities, as well as the US and Canada, do not require a visa for Lebanon.

If you do require one, we can help you arrange it. Another option is to enter Syria by flight or through Jordan, if you don't want to get a Lebanese visa.
Can I extend the tour?
Yes, of course, tour extensions are possible. You can extend the tour to stay some additional days in Damascus, or, for an additional cost, we can arrange trips for you to visit other places, such as Bosra Al Sham or Bloudan.
